I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of her sleep talking; a panicked and frightened tone resonated from her soft voice. She was mumbling, so it was difficult for me to distinguish most of what she was saying, but among her petrified whispers I heard her utter the words, “Please… don’t leave me”.
She soon woke up, scared, and with tears in her eyes.
I asked her what had happened. Slightly trembling, she told me she had a nightmare and that she never felt so scared and sad from sleep like that before in her life.
I asked her what the nightmare was about.
“It was about you”, she said.
“… you breaking up with me.”
