Drake calls Kreayshawn while she’s doing an interview (Start at the 1:53 mark of the video).

I love how Gucci Gucci only came out in May of this year, and in only a couple months Kreayshawn immediately gets nominated for an MTV VMA and becomes close with big names like Drake. I’ve never seen a female MC blow up so big in the mainstream in such a short amount of time like that. Even Nicki Minaj needed a couple years to blow up (although I’m not saying that Kreayshawn is better than her).

I’m excited for Drake to get featured on a Kreayshawn song if this really happens. Kreayshawn is officially the only rapper from the Bay doing it big right now and it’s funny because I feel like this is all just an accident for her. Just last year she was more focused on being a filmmaker/director than making music. Lol.

There are not a lot of female rappers out there getting a lot of buzz.
There are not a lot of white rappers out there who can get people’s attention.
There are not a lot of Bay Area rappers who are capable of going mainstream.
There are not a lot of hipsters out there who rap, or even listen to rap music.
There are not a lot of photographers out there making a name for themselves with music.
There are not a lot of filmmakers/directors out there who have entered the rap game and gained recognition.
… and that’s why I love KREAYSHAWN. She represents everyone who I just listed, and more. She’s not the typical rapper; she’s unique, but at the same time doesn’t need to rely on these labels to make a big name for herself. She has a creative mindset to be successful at more than just music, which is why I’ve been supporting her even before she blew up and became well known.
At first glance a hater/critic might think she’s just some ordinary random white girl trying to “act black” or “act ghetto”, but just wait and see because this East Oakland native has the determination to go along with that artistic and inventive mind of hers which will pave a way to innovative accomplishments.
